Javier Zapata is the Head of the Tax practice.

He joined the firm in September 2007 to set up the Tax department. He has developed his career in Iberforo, Landwell and Bufete Barrilero y Asociados, where he advised multinational and Spanish companies on national and cross-border matters, specially company restructurings, trusts, and the day to day tax matters of a firm (executive retribution, fiscal reviews, representation of clients in the administrative procedures of tax inspections, and administrative and jurisdictional appeals).

His experience is the one of a generalist in this practice area, and he is used to intervening in matters such as executive retribution, fiscal reviews, representation of clients in the administrative procedures of tax inspections, and administrative and jurisdictional appeals.

Javier graduated in Law (1990) and Economics (1991) at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. ICADE.
